to beat up on the Vikings this weekend. I don't know why; it's not a bad pick. I don't know what Vegas is giving away but if they give you the Bengals and points, it wouldn't be a bad bet. The Bengals are at home and the Vikings are coming off an absolutely pathetic showing last week. I won't pick the Bengals simply because I am a Vikings fan, but the spread on this game should be within three points, maybe even favoring Cinci.

Any games you guys are looking forward to? The Monday nighter would have been great . . . in the 70s, lol.

Almost seems like a sucker bet to me. I couldn't pick the Bungals without getting at least 7.

You wouldn't be betting for the Bengals, but against the Vikings.

Man they looked bad last week . . .

Looking forward to ND vs Michigan State on Saturday and of course, the Packers vs anybody every Sunday. I watched a lot of the Vikes last week and really enjoyed the game as well as the Bears/Redskins.

Man, the Bears and Vikes look really stinky. I hope they stay that way.

Hey, how 'bout the Irish? Is it to soon to start thinking about a national championship? I think NOT!

Bears and detroit baby... I love sundays cause I make a super meal and watch the bears lose... Sadly the only thing that makes it worth watching is the meal... damn bears, when will they learn to get free agents?

Lok, if I were you, I would get a couple of pizzas from Lou Malnati's or Gino's and eat your way through the game. Oh, I could go for one of those pizzas right now. Maybe I'll order a couple and have them sent down.

You an ND fan, PJ? I was obligated to watch them growing up, but I haven't followed them as much since they began to stink. Hopefully their current streak will continue.

Cori, you know your stuff when it comes to Chicago pizza and for that you have earned mucho respect from this Chicagoan. I'm eating an Aurielleo's right now

As to ND, my interest had waned in the Davies, Willing ham eras, but I think that Charlie Wies is the real deal and I am VERY excited about the beginning of this season.

I went to college in Chicago and my parents are both from the south side. My old man graduated from ND, thus my obligation. He's lost interest in recent years, however.

Gutsy choice Brendan. Looks like it paid off for you.

Nice assessment diehard. Spot on.

Mike

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill

Here I am trying to make money for all of you, and I bet not one of you went out and put a few bucks down on the Bengals. I'm telling you, the Vikings REEK.
