Why do people continuosly bring such topics up for discussion at this site boggles the mind.

Um... OMR started this thread discussing his decision to boycott CAO, a cigar brand... we are at a cigar board, correct?
Anyhow, why do you get to decide what gets discussed here. Cigar (and tobacco) smoking has been a social event for 100's of years. During social events, people tend to discuss current events, world views, politics, sports, etc... In fact, I consider sitting down and having a smoke with a group of fellow cigar smokers to be an enlightening and relaxing experience...
The politically correct crowd started with the liberal media from the west (left) coast and the northeast. Notice that there is only one group that is fair game and it is not politically correct to apply names to and hammer is anyone that is conservitive, white, male and from the southeast. Even on this site you can have your post deleted for using names that would be considered insulting to the very folks we are at war with and attacked us on 9/11, like the term "raghead". However, its ok and never deleted to call someone a "redneck, hillbilly, or inbread," when talking about a conservitive white male from the southeast. Anything that is part of our history is also considered by these liberal "politically correct" crowd to be racist and politically incorect.

kdhoffma, you have quite an active imagination to read into my post and conclude that I have decided what is posted or not posted here. CAO aside, the great and exaulted Rex posted a thread that dealt primarily with his views of racism. While his argument his sound and I may even agree inpart with him, racism is brought up here all too often and only serves to devide the members of this forum. You've already seen it happening in this short thread where someone takes issue with what's posted about the South, her generals, and a social organization that went out of control throughout the last century. If posters here want to talk about the virtues of the KKK or to petition a ban against tourism in Tennessee -- that's your call. I find it a big f u c k ing waste of time, especially when brought under the desguise of some how relating to cigars or what cigars smokers share in common.

LOL,
Bones, you are showing your age now. These are "pre-political correctness" terms that sorta died out in the 70's.

I own 2 registered Tennessee Walker horses. One was already registered and named when I bought him, the other I got to name and had him registered. I named my horse "General Forrest", not anything to do with the KKK mind you but what he did as a General.

I missed it and it looks as if the thread was deleted. I guess it was considered offensive. Or Politically Incorrect.

And what was that? Act as a traitor to his nation? Spit on the flag of the Republic? Kill his fellow countrymen? Attempt to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States of America? Which of these acts do you find so worthy of emulation?

They used to rarely delete posts here but in the last week or so I have had more of my posts here deleted than the rest of the entire time I have been on this forum.

Didn't miss much. All I said was, that I had a Glock (45ACP w/ mag ext) that I liked. Only trained with it, ever carried it in the real world. In the real world, I would choose a 1911a1, or a distance 2nd, a Sig 220 in 45ACP. Maybe a CZ75, and I always liked the Walter PPK in 380. And I really like the S&W Mod 25 in 45 Colt, and ..., and, ... You know how it is. Today I Stick with a 12Ga (Super90m1)

OMR, You are just weird. Your facts aren't even correct. NBF started the KKK to stop the carpetbaggers from the north from raiding the newly poor of the south after the war. He was so successful, in 1869 the Klan was disbanded. It was started up again, some years later, by others with a racist bent. Try learning your history before you open your pie hole and start dissing a class of people (southerners).
Hey all . . . this reminds me that work requires me to be in Knoxville in early September (eastern TN was very pro Union btw). I'm not one to boycott much of anything. Can anyone recommend any shops or cigar friendly bars in the area . . . thanks! p.s. I believe in affirmative action also, so long as they make a box for people who are fat, ugly, appalacian backwoodsmen to check. It is a very disadvantaged group.
