I know the cigars I preferred two years ago don't make my list today...
I don't think the overnighters have any clue as to taste. If they can tell their friends that they have a case of such and such down in the cellar, that is enough.
Surely you know guys who say they like a cigar simply because they have been told it is good. They think, "I am supposed to like this, so even though I have no idea what I am trying to find in this, I better tell everyone that I like it."
Obviously none of you will ever have a need for wedding planners, interior decorators, personal stylists, caterers, etc.
With the exception of an interior decorator, I don't see any parallel. And no, I have never used an I.D. I enjoy collecting and buying furniture slowly, over time.
What tasteless trash, if you ask me. You can buy nice things if you have the money, but you certainly can't buy class. And you don't have to be rich or have expensive things to be a person of class either. This kind of thing really rubs me the wrong way. What a bunch of tossers.
I always thought the fun part of having a nice collection was the stories behind where you got everything or a really good deal you found...these people are stupid who cares whether its full or not take the time to fill it and get wines you enjoy...sh*t my favorite wine is like 8 bucks.
Come again? You know I don't speak Spanish. In English, please. What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? I'm not even mad, that's amazing.

How so? They are all the same. They all provide expertise on areas that some people, maybe not you, would rather just pay for than slave over the details learning. People pay personal stylists to manage their wardrobe and image. Some people have alot of money and just want some nice things.
Maybe a guy doesn't really care much for wine, but he wants a nice collection so he can provide good quality when he has guests. As long as they do not pretend to be a connaisseur...I don't see the big deal. As long as they are honest about it.
