I have my humidor sitting at 65% RH and the temp fluctuates between 65f and 70F. I have been buying and recieveng alot of cigars. Now are some cigars rolled tighter than others? I noticed some cigars I have, like an Ashton Maduro and a Punch that I have feel really firm and tight.

Some other cigars I have in there feel perfect nice and firm.

I also noticed some that when I pressed, the wrapper actually cracked, are wrappers more likely to crack at 65% rh? Keep in mind these were some of the cheaper ones I have that cracked.

I just want to make sure I am keeping them at a good temp and humidity.

I always have two digital sensors to make sure they are accurate.
It's ok for them to be firm, all wraps will feel different.
They shouldn't crack but I would try keeping it closer to 70 to see what happens.

I keep all my cigars at 65% with absolutely no problem (the crackling is normal, as long as the wrapper feels supple).

But, as a general rule, NCs will tolerate well 70%, whereas CCs burn noticeably better at 65%.

But do some brands of cigars feel harder than others?
For example what s the usual feel for an Ashton Aged maduro? Really Firm, Firm, or soft?

Absolutly. You will notice that Olivas are particularly soft smokes in almost every situation, while the LFD Chizel is a hard SOB. (and great to chew on).

Every cigar has a specific feel- hard, soft, etc. The trick is to find the USUAL feel for that one within a box. That will give you an idea of what they should feel like in your humi.

Gesp, no idea, but feel 5 or 6 out of the same box at your Tobaccoonist shop.
