Perhaps you have seen the recent unedited video of Zarqawi incorrectly using an American machine gun while wearing New Balance shoes. The Pentagon has released it to make him look inept.
But doesn't it have the opposite effect? If the guy is such an idiot, and it seems he is, why haven't we caught him yet and why haven't we crushed the rebellion (I just thought of Darth Vader when I wrote that)?

I haven't seen this video - though I have, unfortunately, seen some of the others in his canon - but it would seem the goal is to make him look mortal, small, even foolish.
