Just means will have to listen to 4 years of Matt Damon crying into the camera, Leo DeCaprio checking into a rehab, Al Gore blowing hot air and Chris Mathews and Keith Olbermann getting a padded room in a local psych ward.
I think you are correct. I think it's in McCain's destiny. He has always been the underdog and is one hell of a fighter. I admire the man, though I disagree with him on quite a few issues.
However, if he does not, we must pray that God will be with Senator Obama, regardless of how much I will surely dislike his policies if he wins, he will be our President. Whomever our President is, he/she deserves our allegiance so long as they follow the letter of The Constitution as well as the will of the people.
I will be happy when this is all over.

The only political polling organization in 1948 was Gallup, and methodology was far less scientific. In fact, Gallup in 1948 took its last poll a full week before the election. Today, of course, that's a mistake that's unthinkable, because we know a lot can happen to affect the outcome of a close election in seven days.

I agree with you 100%. I will pray for Obama or McCain regardless of who wins the election.
Im crossing my fingers for a Mc Cain win. There is however the (very nut-ball sounding) idea that Barack Hussein Obama is the catalyst needed to bring the second coming of the lord. Starting with the annihilation of Israel by a nuclear armed Iran. I am not sure I subscribe to this, however I know a lot of people who are putting it in the lords hands and stockpiling food and ammo.

At times, these contradict...which do you prefer when faced with such a dilemma?

When they contradict, the letter of the Constitution is my preference. The Constitution was written by some very intelligent and insightful individuals who gave things like government, laws, and human nature a lot of thought. The will of the people is too fickle and susceptible to influence such as propaganda, group think, or hype. JMHO

Why would people who are "putting it in the lords hands" need to stockpile ammo?

Well, I am not exactly "stockpiling ammo". But in terms of putting it in the Lord's hands, the Orthodox Church teaches that there is a synergia between God and man, or in other wordse God helps us only if we take the first steps ourselves. He will not save us against our will..... And no, that has nothing to do with the second ammendment.
