Its time for me to branch out and finally get a larger humidor. After a little research I settled on the Havana Foot Locker and will be using Heartfelt Beads as my humidification device. If it doesn't appear on Christmas I will be placing the order on the 26th!
Can I just use the beads to charge the humi or will that take too long? If not what is the best way to get a new large humidor conditioned?
Thanks for your help. I am really looking forward to being able to buy by the box.
A small, new, unused sponge thoroughly rinsed and saturated with distilled water in a saucer plate works quite well. You can leave the beads inside the humi at the same time. Also, even if you have a digital hygrometer, check its accuracy using the salt method. They can be off quite a bit even when thay claim to have good accuracy.
You can speed up this break-in period by wiping the insides down with a towel moistened with distilled water. BUT be very careful to not overdo it: if you do, you will cause an ugly water stain on the inside of your pristine humidor. Also wiping the inside will always cause the interior liner's grain to rise. Personally, I recommend you DO NOT do this; it is much better to be patient and allow your humidor to reach the appropriate humidity on its own.
Be patient, the process can take as-long as two weeks with larger humidors.

Thanks for the help. Thats why I asked b/c I have heard conflicting information about wiping the inside down. I think I am gonna take the longer route and not do that. I just got a new hydrometer and its within 1% according to my salt test so I think I will be good to go. Again thanks SteveSur.
