I've been looking around on CI and Cbid lately and came to the conclusion that I wanted to try these Cusano Xclusivos (they're really hyped in their descriptions) so I bit the bullet and bid on a 5-pack and won.
The package arrived today and upon opening the package a waft of cologne hits my nose. Its not too great of a smell, but it didnt stink either. Anyways I grab the ziploc with the sticks in it, admire them and notice the smell is coming off the bag. Confused, I sit there and wonder why this it is fragrant. then I realize that right under the ziploc was my invoice and right under that was the little envelope Cbid sends out with ads. In it, one of those samples of cologne, kinda like the ones in magazines, and this thing smelled strong!
Worried that my sticks may have gotten tainted I take them out of the bag and out of the cello and smell them. They seem fine. But you'd think a cigar retailer would have enough sense to not send any scented items with their cigars! You think my sticks are still good?
Btw, how are these smokes? Overhyped? When I took them out oft he cello the wrappers seemed a little veiny and construction seemed mediocore. Hope they taste as good as the description though.

That's a horrible thing to in a box with cigars no matter who did it. Although Cbid is great with prices, their shipping sucks. I got some many 5packs from them that were busted I stopped ordering. I did just buy a box from them hoping that the box would add protection.

If your cigars were in a sealed bag, and in cello, I'd imagine that 2-3 days in a box with a cologne sample wouldn't impart a flavor to them. Still, it's a crappy thing for cbid to do.
