Have a box I bought last time I was in the US and I really like 'em (Petite Coronas). Admittedly I'm pretty new to this game, but have some nice sticks (Opus X, Padron 26 to name a couple). But, I'm a little unsure how the Upmanns compare to others?
Any advice/thoughts welcome.

H. Upmann are mild by comparison to Opus. They newer versions of Upmann are not the same as was being made a few years ago. The wrapper changed and the flavor degraded.

I think you'll find the Opus and Padron to be higher quality cigars than the H. Upmann. That said, I have used the Vintage Cameroons as a mid-day smoke and have never been disappointed. Over a light lunch, the VCs are a nice complement.

Thanks for the opinions guys, agree that the Opus and Padrons are far better, but not the cheapest thing to source in the UK Also, recently smoked a Sosa Family one (stupidly didn't note which it was) which I really enjoyed.
Oh well, only 6 months till I'm in the US again to stock up

Hey, I'm also in the UK, any idea where I can pick up some Opus or Padron singles? I usually order online and can only find the Padron sticks available in boxes of 25, as far as the Opus goes I cant find them anywhere. ________________________________________________

(sorry to hijack briefly) Hey TT- what site do you order from? I was thinking of picking up some NCs soon but many sites don't appear to ship overseas / are unhelpful when it comes to subtle packaging for customs.
As far as opus and padrons in the UK goes- I don't believe anyone imports them on a large scale, so they are quite difficult to find, and tend to be more expensive than their CC equivalents.

I've tried a bunch of different Habanos & the Upmann's are one of my least favorite (the other being Punch.) There was a serious lack of character to them. As of right now, my favorite Habanos are Bolivar Royal Corona & Montecristo Edmundo, but they both pack a good wallop. If you're looking for a mild Habano, I'd recommend Rey del Mundo Robusto.

Haha, fair enough. Let me know if you do find a decent site to import off, I'm looking around at the moment. Actually I live in Kent currently, but most of my family's from up north, ironic as Newcastle is the furthest English football club from where I live, once a toon allways a toon though! ________________________________________________
