I just received this link, and it is too good not to pass on.

The equivalent show in Britain to "American Idol" or "America's Got Talent" is "Britain's Got Talent," which even uses the same judges seen on American TV--Simon Powell, Piers Morgan. This clip shows a recent contestant who just about blew the judges out of their seats. You've got to see it to believe it:

He was huge on this side of the pond, my mother loves him. Personnally I can't stand him and I'm usually up for the guy with the "overcoming personal obstacles" story but he was very over-rated and I think a one-trick pony, he also chose the the one piece that every fan of that show in this part of the world would be familiar with, Nessan Dorma was used as the official music for the 1990 soccer World Cup. Listen to the Pavarotti version of Nessun Dorma on the link on the same page and you'll hear the difference.
I'm not a fan of the show but that guy was everywhere a couple of months ago, I haven't heard much from him recently, he'll probably have a dead cat bounce with a Christmas album and then dissappear for good, hopefully.
Lastly, contrary to popular belief not everybody in this part of the World has teeth like that.
