This evening I have a Romeo y Julietta Cedros 2.

This Cuban was a gift from a friend.

It has been implied that I smoke a lot of Opus, but this is not true. I generally only smoke one or two a week.

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary so I wanted a special cigar tonight. I had a Padron 1964 superior natural. Fantastic cigar. One of the best cigars in recent memory. I prefer the maduro but this was superb none the less.
Earlier today I had a Padron Delicias maduro followed by a Padron Magnum Maduro.
It was a Padron cigar day and they did not dissapoint.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

Guys I know it isn't expensive or fancy, but I've had the 5 Vegas brand sampler from CI and the series 'A' and the torpedos have been insane so far--I'm having the 5 vegas golds tomorrow, if they are what they have been said to be I'm in for a treat

This brand is quickly getting to be my "go to's"

I had an Avo Domaine 50, another from a friend. I really like these, so much so, I just ordered a box.

Smoked the last Partagas spanish rosado, a really disappointing cigar. It was way too bland.

Had to post this this morning since I didn't get home unitl late.

Tuesday started off with a small cigar and beer trip of NYC. First stop was Martinez on 29th st...picked up a couple Red Series #6's. Had to try them after seeing the artical in CM.

Then over to Davidoff's at Columbus Circle where I enjoyed a Special "R" in the lounge. I know many people don't like Davidoff because you're paying for a name. But until they open up Cuba, it was one of the best smoking experiences that I had.

After lunch and a few beers (okay...many beers)shared with some friends at Rumours on 8th ave, went over to Davidoff's on Madison. The store was bigger and the selection was nicer than the one at Columbus Circle, but I was disappointed at the lack of seating to enjoy a cigar.

Down to Penn Station and Tracks for more drinks. Ended the night enjoying my alcoholic buzz at the Jimmy Buffet show.

----------
Back by request:

Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"

Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"

Happy Anni.littoines! My Anni. also, only 3 yrs but been together 13. Didn't have anything tonight but do have a story. My wife went out to buy me cigars for our anni. but when she got to the B&M she got overwhelmed and didn't know what to get. So I ended up with nothing. The moral is: make sure your wife knows what you smoke and what you like.

Been a long time, but I'm back. Still cigar nuts, but just took a break from posting. Tonight, on the deck with a cool breeze and a fire, I will partake in a Corojo wrapped Gran Habano with a 60 ring size. These are apparently a relatively new blend / cigar out there. Tried one last week and it was, well, like my son says.. SAH-WEET.
Take care,

Doc
