I'll be in a lot of cities and towns all around the country, but tentatively I'll be based in Rome or possibly Catania. How's the weather around January through May?

Rome is pretty cold in January. I am way further south in Reggio Calabria. http://www.roadtoitaly.com/info/weather.htm. That link is like the weather channel for Italy. Check it out Enjoy your stay in our beautiful country. Oh yeah one more thing do not even think of buying cigars anywhere except LCDH.

Thanks for the link. I'm assuming Sicily would be warmer in the winter, I'll have to see where I'm going. The program in Rome is the most popular, so it might get filled up and I might just have to go to Sicily, but either way it's still pretty cool!
I'd never buy anywhere except LCDH, if I buy cigars at all. I might just bring my own because I imagine cigars are pretty expensive there. Of course, I'll buy a handful, but nothing major.

Cool, thanks. I'm sure I'll be all of the place pretty much. That's the good thing about Europe, you can get to other countries in a relativly short amount of time because the countries are small compared to the US and Canada.

Sounds like a plan.
