Latin - Natale hilare et Annum Nuovo

Sheep, many of these are probably wrong. I'm not a Latin professor(yet), but for one, "nuovo" is not a word in Latin, that's Italian. It should be novum.

That's a pretty wild saying there, that basically says "cheerful birth and new year". I get what the mean, have a cheerful birthday of Christ, but it sounds like you're saying be cheeful while giving birth.

Of course, there isn't a word for Christmas in classical Latin, so you have to do what you can. They could have at least used the name of Christ in there. I'm sure someone invented a Latin word for Christmas, I don't don't have a dictionary of modern Latin words. Hell, there's a word for California is Latin, so there has to be one for Christmas.

Anyway, thanks, it's still pretty cool. Just don't go up to anyone who speaks a foreign language before checking it's right, I don't want you to think you're saying Merry Christmas and end up calling their wife fat or something! haha

So you're Indian, Nick? I might be wrong, but didn't that language start in what is now north India?

Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année

I wish I would have known earlier that buying her diamonds would let me be allowed to smoke cigars in the house.
