For anyone within driving distance of northeastern Pennsylvania, my local B&M is hosting their first annual Cigar Bazaar this Saturday, Sept. 22nd from noon to 6pm.
Admission is FREE as is food and soft drinks.
Reps from Rocky Patel, Oliva, J Fuego, General Cigar and others will be outside under 40 feet of tents. There will be "buy/get" deals, raffles and more. These guys know how to throw a fun event so I can't imagine this won't be a good time.
The Big Smoke NYC is two months away and CigarFest '08 is...jeez...eight months away so anyone itching for an event might want to make a trip.
These guys have a great selection of boutique brands in the store so it's worth an hour's drive just to shop their selection of Tatuaje, Don Pepin (they just got the new Serie JJ maduro), San Crisobal, VSG, La Flor and so on.
Very tempting, two and a half hour drive for me. But my girlfriend had surgery this week and is still on the mend, so I have to take care of the kids. Never been to a cigar event and I have been dying to go to one. As always though, something comes up. I'll have to start planning for CigarFest '08. Tried going the past two years and still haven't made it.
Would love to try the San Cristobal too. I'm just gonna have to order it from Holt's. Sounds like you have a really nice B&M. Wish I did.

Unfortunately, I probably will not make it. But it looks to be a great time and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. The food is generally great -- hot dogs and burgers, but they often do an entree and salad and other stuff too. And the deals are usually good -- buy 5 or 6, get one free, buy a box of 25, get 5 free and a lighter or ashtray, etc. Depends on what the manufacturer is offering. At the La Flor Dominicana event, for example, I bought 20 Cameroon Cabinets, got 10 free Coronado Double Coronas and won a La Flor ashtray.
