I have read on here that acrylic doesn't breath, etc. and I get that. I have a smaller cooler that will hold about 150 cigars. When facing my coolidor, picture two garages, one is wooden with no front door and the other is acrylic with no front. So the fronts are open,

I drilled a gazillion holes in the acrylic on the top, rear and sides, leaving room in the rear of both units for air flow. I do NOT push the cigars all the way in, so the "lighting end" never touches the acrylic.

I have 2 of the air fresheners fans that run on/off every 15 minutes. I have a small cedar block and need to buy a couple more pieces of cedar. 68/70 was the reading this morning and cigars feel fine. I really like the acrylic, because it has an X divider that organizes my brands nicely. I can open the cooler and pull out whatever stick I want, without disturbing boxes, etc.

Questions: with proper airflow, etc. does the acrylic have any other effect on the cigars? I like to remove all cigars from their boxes and wrappers, but I could leave them in wrappers if I have to.

Where is the best place to get more pieces of cedar?

thanks

Best place to get cedar and what exactly you may need is from a Carpenter or a specialized wood store that basically just deals in wood. They may have in stock or can either order it for you or put you in the right direction. I do not see that material having an effect on the cigars as it would be like the same as food in the fridge. The food does not get an bad taste or odors. If it is the same material as the fridge of course. If you want email me your address and i have a couple of extra cigar boxes you are more than welcome to have. hope it helps.
