It is shocking both that it happens at all and that there have been no injuries from this. Ghastly that this practice hasn't been banned. Then again, we could say the same thing about circumcision.

As sheepshead mentioned, not even in the same ballpark or country for that matter.
We circumcised our son in our house. A Mohel held my hand as we removed the excess skin. My son was held by an elder uncle. He cried for literally 20-30 seconds. I have video if you're interested.
It was one of the most moving times in my life. This Mohel explained the origins of the ritual, the reasonings for it and the beauty surrounding it. I'm not a very religious person, but it was absolutely beautiful.
I would agree that they should outlaw Doctors from cirumcising. Completely different in my opinion, but I don't actually remember the FIRST time personally
