I found 2 albums marked cigar bands filled with old bands that are in mint condition. There are 100's of them. The colors are bright - the gold is shiny. They are actually in albums that are made for cigar bands, with the slits in the pages for the ends to slide into. I suspect they are from theh 20's - 30's.
I took them to the antique roadshow and they had no idea where to even start pricing them. They are probably very valuable and need to be insured.
I would appriciate any help or suggestions on how to value them.
Contact Tony at this site. He is your best bet on value and provenance. Sounds interesting. However, I doubt you have anything that needs to be insured as the most collectible cigar items are pre-1900s. Unless, all of those labels are of Cuban origin. Then you may have something special. Please let us know what you find out.
