I suppose, once again, I'm the exception to what's been written above. I have always liked gold and have plenty of it that I wear daily. I have a diamond studded 14k watch that I wear daily along with a gold link bracelet, family crest ring on the right hand and a 2 ct. diamond cluster on my left (which doubles as a wedding ring). I also wear a small gold cross on a chain around my neck. I'm not a small guy and the size of the items blends with my overall appearance.
But...I may be a freak, too!

Wedding ring and one of my Swiss watches. Necklace or bracelet are just "not me". Never pierced my ear either, though most of my teenage friends did. Just was never drunk enough at the right time, I guess. No tatoos either.

Jada...aren't you forgetting all the body piercings?

what kind of watch? i know you don't come around that much, but if you see this it'd be nice if you could respond..
sox
Bulova, circa 1950's; 14kt. I had the diamonds added several years ago. There is a total of 22 of them surrounding the crystal and down the strap arms.
Yes, I am quite frugal, and I saved for quite some time to get all these items I described. With all that out of my system, I can now buy better cigars while still shopping and being frugal about it!

Personally, I think men should limit themselves to a watch and a wedding ring, that's it. Cufflinks are also fine if you're wearing a French cuff shirt. However, nothing should have diamonds or jewels on it. And neck chains and bracelets are right out.
The exception would be the Sikh who are required by their religion to wear a braclet and ornamental sword. Now, I could get behind more men wearing swords. The might be cool.
Any thoughts?
...I used to wear one diamond earring now, I just wear my diving watch and wedding ring (and ocassionally cuff-links). Can't do the chain around the neck thing (it snatches my chest hair! Ouch!)

I've never understood jewelry on a guy, especially pierced ears/nose/tongue/lips/eyebrows or pinkie rings. Just not for me. I wear a watch and that is all.
When I was active duty I had the sword...always got in the way, and when the grog was flowing and there were a dozen Navy and Marine JO's, the swords sometimes came out of their scabbards, with sometimes ugly (but funny) results.
