I posted this on another forum and thought the members here might enjoy it as well - gotta love those Marines!
A Marine stationed in Afghanistan recently received a “Dear John” letter from his girlfriend back home. It read as follows:
"Dear Ricky, I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great.
I must admit that I have cheated on you twice since you’ve been gone, and it’s not fair to either of us. I’m sorry.
Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.
Love, Becky"
The Marine, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow Marines for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, cousins, etc. In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope .... along with this note:
"Dear Becky,
I’m so sorry, but I can’t quite remember who the hell you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.
Take care, Ricky"

haha thats great! what a shitty thing to do to someone who is over helping protect our ass.
my buddy had the same thing happen to him but a little different. He was flying back into the states and his wife was supposed to pick him up at the airport but never showed... they had talked the week before and set everything up and she was fine. He called her from the airport and she answered and told him she wanted a divorce. how shitty is that?

I was a big fan of M.A.S.H. but don't remember that. I believe you, just don't remember it. Maybe I should watch some reruns.

I remember that episode of MASH too. I've heard that story told a few different ways from a college student to someone in the Navy. The joke never gets old though
