Recently I have become a James Suckling fan. I guess its because he seems to be a link to a place I only dream about.
His blogs have become my favorite part of Aficionado online.
I've looked through past issues of Aficionado and re read some of his articles and he makes you feel like you are there with him or you are tasting the cigar he is describing.
I look forward to his latest blogs and I'm dissapointed when there is nothing new.
James, keep up the great work. You have gained a new fan.
7 days without a Suckling blog makes one weak.

I like him as long as he doesn't throw in any off the wall flavors like roasted meat and buttered almond with lol.

His enthusiasm is contagious... and that can be painful on my wallet. Smile

But yeah, I think he is great for the industry.

I am a converted James fan. The last few months have changed me, I don't think it's the hair though. Wink

yea i'm a Suckling fan as well, I think his blogs are the most interesting to read, mainly because he updates more often than the other editors. I have noticed that Suckling likes to say "no?" after making a comment and it seems like David Savona always cracks up when they are doing a video blog haha

I enjoy Suckling's blogs as well. He is very informative and the videos are entertaining. Maybe I can sign up to be in his entourage for the Cuba trips.

Well, damnit, I was a Suckling fan long before littoines made it cool to be one.

His coverage is the most personal of any that's out there. He gets the human side of the story right. He's sort of the Hunter S. Thompson of cigar reporting.

What a public show of affection!!!
Mr. Suckling, to my knowledge none of these posters are women, or else there would be another reason for me to envy you... Big Grin
But I like your blogs as well!

I have to say that I Suckling's recent blog has become my most awaited articles on the internet. The videos he add are wonderful too. Suckling is an official bastard, the term defines him perfectly; he's a man who gets payed for doing the thing he loves most!! That's what I call a bastard. I'd do anything for a job like that!! Big Grin

Keep the good work up James, and yes, I like your new hair style, makes you a lot younger.

I also forgot to say that the impression my friend got after meeting Suckling in Habana last month in the festival was that he is a very "humble down to earth" guy.

I agree! He meets so many people in the course of his day, but will always stop to chat to whomever approaches him.
Met him a couple times at consecutive Habanos Festivals, he always has a few minutes to chat, no matter who it is.
