I stumbled upon one of the worst propagandas I have ever seen. Not only is most of it totally exaggerated, there are 2 or 3 things that I know for a fact are just straight out lies. If you need a laugh click here. No wonder we have smoking bans up the ying-yang, when people are fed this sort of BS.
and for the quote of the century.. this should be enough to ban smoking everywhere in this world...
and I quote: "Cigar smoke stinks! It makes your breath, clothes and hair smell bad, and smoke from a single cigar can take 5 hours to dissipate, exposing the people around you to the lingering smell "
ohhhhhh... you no likey my cigar ????? well.. me no likey your stench !!!!!
I'll stop "bothering" people with my cigar smell, when they stop bothering me with their infernal stench, and start taking showers ....
I'm sorry.. but my coloniales smells way better than some people... PERIOD.

Yea that part made me laugh. What are they going to "prove" next, that cigar breath gives other non-smokers cancer just by talking to cigar smokers, 5 hours after they smoked?
What cracks me up even more then this is the propoganda on weed.
i seen a TV ad where some kid was going on about how weed never really had any physical side effects on his brother, who was an apparent chronic smoker, and he stated something along the lines how nothing really happened to his brother ever since he smoked weed.
then this kid walks down into the basement, and it shows his older brother in the basement, all zoned out watching cartoons, and the kid says something like: "Then again, nothing will ever happen to my brother as long as he keeps smoking weed". The commercial ends with his brother in his pajamas, baked out, still watching cartoons.
COME ON NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! this has nothing to do weed, and everything to do with an obviously depressed person who has nothing to do but watch cartoons, in short, this commercial has everything to do with the person man!!! i wish i could meet the maker of that commercial and LAYETH THE SMACKETH DOWN ON HIS RUDY-POO CANDY A**!!!!!
one of the worse attempts i have seen yet at trying to get a message across to people as to lay off of drugs.

"Health risks associated with cigar smoking are similar to those of cigarette smoking. These risks include: oral, esophageal, laryngeal and lung cancers and dental disease. "
our lung cancer risk is only about double a nonsmokers as opposed to 8 times for a cigarette smoker
"While almost all cigarette smokers inhale, most cigar smokers don’t. This can lead to the perception that cigar smokers are not at risk for nicotine related disease. However, cigar smokers can ingest sufficient quantities of nicotine without inhaling – and cigar smoke contains a substantial fraction of its nicotine as free nicotine, which can be readily absorbed by the membranes inside your mouth, including your gums."
i dont know what this free nicotine is, but the absorption of tobacco through the mouth is in very slow quantities and the absorption through the lining of the stomach comes at a much slower rate than cigarette smokers. Cigar smokers dont get addicted to the nicotine because it takes around 2 hours for your body to absorb a negligible amount of nicotine as opposed to almost instantly for cigarette smokers
DAMN, Im Thirsty! I want a beer, how bout you? You want a beer?
This article spoke to me, I'll never smoke again. __________________________________________________
"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."

The epi studies on cigar smoking are spotty at best. It's hard enough getting a good cohort for cig studies.
The real risk number is irrelevant. There is consensus that the risk is higher. You can't honestly tell me that sitting in a room filled with your own second hand smoke...and none of it is going to enter your lungs.

Do you even have a basis for any of this?
You ever chew tobacco or dip? Guy, that stuff zings right to your brain in no time flat. Ever chew on a cigar? Same effect as chewing any oral tobacco product.
For those of you who read the article and decide to stop smoking your cigars, please send them to me. I will make sure they are disposed of in a respectful and dignified manner. Thank you.

Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"
Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"
