Hi all! Although I'm more of a reader than a poster on this forum I thought that I would share the news!

We had a beautiful healthy baby girl tonight after a lengthy ordeal today! At 5:05pm she was deliverd by C-section after about 14 hrs of labour! I guess she was just too big at 8lbs 15oz.

Mom and baby are doing great! I came home around 10:00 to go to bed for a while. I lit up a Partagas Black with a glass of wine on the front porch but only got through about 2/3 of it as I hadn't eaten in about 13hrs. After turning a little green and sitting here for a while, I think I'm off to bed.

What an amazing experience... It was our first baby and I just can't describe what strength women are capable of.

Be back in a couple of days....

Congrats on the girl. A woman giving birth is a crazy amount of pain, I could never withstand that amount of pain.

Yeah, that's really cool. Someday I'll be making this same post.

I've got two friends who are about to have a kid and one who just did. I think I want one more than the wife now...

Congrats! My cousin just had a little girl a few weeks ago (the first for him and his wife)I can tell you he's a changed man since his daughter was born. She has him wrapped around her tiny little fingers already.

Congratulations! We had our first about five months ago. I had thought I wanted a boy, but so my little girl has me wrapped around her finger. It is by far, the most incredible and amazing thing I have ever experienced.

You won't remember what you did before she was around, and you really won't care etiher. Since babies are born every day, I think I took it for granted, but it truly is a miracle.

Enjoy it! (Can you tell from me incessant rambling that I am a happy and proud father?)
