I was just browing EBAY for Opus X cigars, just to see if they are sold on there...and I came across a lot of auctions for "cigar bands" and the box...
You are getting cigars but due to the fact that you are not to sell cigars on ebay it is posted as box and bands. Just happens that the bands are on the cigars and the box has cigars in it. Of course you are not to smoke them. catching my drift? It's an ebay loophole. Now are they real or not that's another question.
The key was 'has not been opened!! How else would you put bands in a box? I would stay away, like VWCALBUG said, you could get a box of bands.

well, while I wouldn't risk it, I'd say it's not quite that risky. A lot of the ebay listings say "factory sealed box". If you were to receive an empty box with bands, or even an open one that they'd put some cheap sticks in you could easily get them on the fact that it wasn't factory sealed and they lied in the listing.

It also helps when buying from ebay to check the seller's rating. If they have sold a lot of cigars on ebay before and no one had complaints, I'd say you could probably trust that seller.

I've been very happy with my Peterson "bands" and "box" that I bought off there....they were in great condition when they arrived. I can't wait for that box and those bands to be fully mature!
