Binder I don't think you have this one listed on your "noob's read this" thread. It might be a fine addition.......but I can't imagine it becoming a FAQ
Mats....let us know how it smokes....just make sure it is an expensive cigar because like Doc said, it will unravel. I heard the high $ smokes won't have that problem
I have heard of people smoking certain figurados backwards with no ill effects. But the shapes probably do something toward keeping the cigar from unwrapping.
Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.
I've heard that the filler is bunched in a way that it would give the cigar a hard draw. Who knows though since I've never tried it. Maybe once stogemeister sends me another of his Iggies or baccarats I'll give it a shot. Don't tell him though, he'll be upset I wasted one of his premies.
I was once camping and met a guy who loved cigars. I had smoked my stash and only had a big double corona I was saving for that night...so being in the boonies and wanting to share, I nipped it in half and made two robustos. I gave the guy the head end and I took the footy end. I put the foot in my mouth since it had chipped a little cutting it in half. I lit it and it smoked ok, it did unravel a bit, but not to the point of being unsmokable.
That is as close to smoking a cigar backwards as I've been, unless you count the time I was smoking in the dark and fumbling for a cigar I'd set down. I put the ash end in my mouth (Yuck, feh, spit, spit, spit...) But that was when I was 6 months old, just a fledgling cigar god at that point.
