The walls and doors of microwave ovens are covered with grids that act as effective mirrors for microwave radiation (conductive material with openings/irregularities smaller than the wavelength of the microwave radiation).
You get a bit of leakage around the door, but it's pretty diffuse.
Probably not enought to worry about - but I'd love to hear from some of the experts...

During my time in the Navy I have worked on a few radars. Some radars used aboard ship will certainly harm you if not kill you. Military grade radars are high power and have a concentrated beam.
Commercial radars, like Furuno, that you find on fishing boats are relatively safe. I would not sit on it while it radiates if you want kids, but anywhere outside a foot or two is safe.
I have no fear of microwave ovens. I know there are people that say the Soviet Union banned them in 1972 because they are harmful. I also do not believe the US government is hiding a UFO at Roswell, but you never know, I could be wrong.

There are stories of people with pacemakers or defibrillators having problems when standing near microwave ovens. I have a defibrillator and try to stand at least a foot away from the one in my kitchen and office when it is turned on.
Microwaves, unlike X-rays, will dissipate quickly and I would think that a wall between you and the oven would protect you.
When you go home tonight see if you glow in the dark.

I'm with you, the military is hiding the UFOs in Area 51...
