The 5th of July. Sounds like a good name for a Broadway show
I have my usual Tanqueray Martini with 4-Queen olives, a plate of pepperoni and cheese and of course my Saturday Night Special smoke, an Opus Super Belicoso.
Have a wonderful Saturday evening all.

This afternoon I had an RP Decade robusto. I really enjoyed it. The wrapper was soft and silky. It lit easily and the draw was just about perfect. A consistent burn that produced a nice thick smoke. The flavor was full but not overly so with a taste of wood and just a touch of cedar. Like most quality cigars the flavor was very smooth. And a big plus for me was that I could enjoy this one down to burnt fingers and lips if I so choose. Many smokes I can't take this far because near the end the taste just doesn't hold up.
For me, the decade is another "good to the last puff" smoke.
Something else (yet to be decided) for after dinner.

This morning with the last cup of Supreme by Bustelo, a Monte #4 that unravelled at the head as I got close to the label...first one to do that on me...I just nursed it along to the nub...perhaps the humi it was in was a little below optimum humidity...
Nothing tonight...late return from dinner...can't wait for morning...

I had a Arturo Fuente Double Chateau and it was absolutely delicious. The cigar was too long for me and my local B&M informed me that the Chateau was the same blend, but shorter. I think I'll have to order a box of these from Famous.

Decided to grab another cigar from last year's Big Smoke. This time a La Aroma De Cuba Monarch, i believe. I had all kinds of problems with it not staying lit and the draw being a little too tight. Too bad, otherwise it had a fairly interesting flavor but not enough there for me to keep at it.

This afternoon, an Oliva Serie V Belicoso, and tonight a DPG Blue Imperiales and a Tatuaje Regios.

Decided that the night shouldn't end on a bad smoke and pulled out a Cabaiguan Guapo Junior. What a nice little smoke. Started off slowly, but the sweet, vanilla-y flavor flavors grew stronger over time.
