Here's a contest for the veteran's of the forum.

I have way too many cigars. I have recently cut back my smoking due to some personal reasons. So, there's a bunch in my humidor I'll never smoke and want to get rid of. They're not top of the line (all NCs) but not dog rockets. There's a good selection for a noob to try.

So, here's the contest.

List the noob you think is most deserving of a 20 cigar sampler pack.

Rules
1) Anyone with more than 700 posts as of now can vote.
2) You can vote only once.
3) The person you name must live in the US - I will not ship outisde the US (sorry all you non-US people).
4) I will take names until 9am tomorrow and will compile the list in my own sweet time.
5) I reserve the right to make up more rules as I go along.
6) The winner must be over 21 years old.
7) I have no specific definition of a noob.
8) In the event of a tie, I will make the final call.

In case someone nominates me, I have a US address that anything could be sent to, no international shipping. Big Grin

I can't nominate you, since you signed up before I did! Big Grin

This is tough - there are a lot of great candidates...

I meet noob requirements, too. However, if you vote for me you can always smoke in my restraunt or bar. If someone complains, they can leave.

My vote goes to JMcConnell.

Looking at this thread, looks like he needs to throw away those samplers and put something nice in that new humidor!

I changed my mind. I give my vote (if I have one) to JMcConnell. Those Don Kikis are trash and he has to smoke something better.

casting your vote shouldn't be about what about noob bought what and if you feel bad for him for smoking Don Kikis or guantanameras.. IT SHOULD BE ABOUT THE NOOB THAT HAD A LASTING IMPRESSION ON US...

and for that, my vote goes to Luckybreak ...

Free cigars to newbies. When word gets out this board will be thick as thieves with noobs.

Great. Thanks Smith. Here is a better idea.

Why not spend a few minutes and go through the various threads. Before long you will really see who are the new guys, and you can personally contact them, and send them a care package.

BTW: Very generous of you to do this. Not many people would do what you proposing.

Good idea but too much effort on my part. (I do need to do some work today beyond surfing old threads). That's why I'm asking for votes.

Sal - I like the way you think...

But that really leaves us a choice between Matt and Lucky - both of them made quite a splash!

Smile

Matt went from obnoxious noob to an educated cigar smoker.
Lucky went from obnoxious noob to just plain obnoxious.

Matt adds good opinions and reviews on cigars.
He has made the most memorable and lasting impression as a noob.
My vote goes to Matt.

Personally, I don't think Matt or Lucky will appreciate these "not top of the line" NCs more than my nominee.

Maybe I should be clearer with my not top of the line. I meant no Opus, no Padron 1926, etc . . . No Cubans from my local liquor store. Wink

But, there will be Camacho, Torano, ERDM, FDO, Perdomo, Altadis and General cigars.

It will be a good sampler for a noob.
