Got a brand new 100 ct humidor yesterday. Through the regular preparation steps, I got to 70% a couple hours ago. I bumped the table it was sitting on while it was closed and completely forgot about the glass of water inside. I checked it now and found water spilled out around the glass (maybe half a shot glass). I immediately soaked up the water and wiped it down pretty thoroughly, pressing deep where it had spilled onto. Is my humidor in any danger? Should I let the entire thing dry out again and then re-humidify it? The water was most likely only sitting for an hour or two. It was only distilled water, no PG. Thanks everyone, love the forums!
As long as you wiped up the excess water you should be ok. With a new humidor the cedar is very dry and in my opinion 24 hours of seasoning is not enough. Give it a couple more days until you introduce your cigars

I am with Scott. I like to wipe down my new humis a little. Then let them sit for 3-4 days un-opened.
Dont worry about the water! Just make sure it isnt a puddle or wet wood when the sticks go in and you'll be fine. The rest of the SC inside should soak that up anyways.
