I don't mind popping a few out here and there out of respect and information gained. But I appreciate the offer. I'll now lower my hand and back up slowly into the corner.

Thanks for the tour. I have friend/customer who was invited to visit the Perdomo's place in Esteli. He has an awesome photo album from his trip. I have a signed picture of John standing with Nick Sr.(God rest his soul) and Nick Jr. on the wall in my shop. Perdomo is a first class company and the Reserve maduro "X" is one of my favorite cigars.

Hey BGoodz...shoot me your addy to my email listed in my profile, tell me what you like or what you haven't tried yet, and I'll send you some sample smokes. Don't worry about return fire ok. If its Oliva or Torano I probably have it. Who knows, I might even get you hooked on Nat Shermans or Master Blends.

Great job again Andy!! But you need a sign off line...like "This is Andymiami, your loveable cigar guru..signing off. Have a Good night and a good smoke."
Hey David Savona, I think it would behoove you folks at CA to put Andy on the payroll to let him put these little tours on your main web page. It makes for excellent reading, and, as you can see, his photography is excellent. It would be doing your readers a great service to see the headquarters that these people have, and how customer oriented they are. Andy's writing skills are second to none and just as good as anyone's that I've seen in CA.
Just a thought David.

I third that ! Andy's work deserves something. The excellent virtual tours (that you would normally see in a magazine) the box information, the knowledge and all done on his own time. A little something something should be justified, payroll, comped subscription, possibly an article in CA, or as Bluesky suggested a link or site on CA landing home page. At the very least he should get offered a few boxes cigars of his choice in gratitude for the positive promotion he has done for the visited establishments and the Cigar industry including CA. I don't think he is the type to ask for these things but something should offered.
Maybe we should all get together and do a collective "Thank You" bomb........then Andy will be looking for a Tower Cabinet But we don't or wouldn't want to stifle or inhibit his creative talents either.

Thanks for the props and the thoughts, but I think the power of this stuff is that it is only an aficionado doing his thing - no strings attached. The minute it becomes cloudy and seems like it is being done for some perks, then it's just PR.
The info I have fun providing is my way of giving back to the Forum for all I have learned here. This is one unbelievable place. I am more than happy to contribute however I can to the coolness of this place.
And PLEASE no bombs. I'm smoking 2 or 3 a day and I can't make a dent in them!

Andy, I was just teasing and getting back acha about the collective bomb and the tower cabinet It's apparent, everyone really appreciates what you've done. I know I've learned a few things. Hopefully we all can contribute back to some degree for what we've learned as you have.

hey andy, how about the next one we do a "field trip". i will get a signed permission slip from my mom, and we can all go. maybe MANSMOKER can come along, thats if he is back from cuba, or alaska, or wherever he wound up.
Hey Charloods, Sounds like a good idea except for one item: I'm not going on a field trip with ANYONE named "mansmoker" ... I gotta leave those kind of field trips to Seahawky Andy

Great tour Andy. How long have the tours been on average? An hour? just curious.....I completely agree about the appeal of the tours being that they are by an aficionado, not a paid or comped employee of anyone. It takes the subjectivity out of it and keeps it genuine. I do, however, wish cA would give us "member sites" to post pictures etc.
Oh, BTW, I've boxed up your winnings and they are going out today.
Thanks Id, I was at the Padron hq for a couple of hours. At the Perdomo hq, I was there for an hour or so. I figure that I should go there with a pretty open schedule and let it go wherever it does. With the Padron Saturday morning, there were other people there who were super into the smokes and it made for a great time. Last Saturday at Perdomo, it was just Billy and myself, so after an hour or so of my questions, that was all she wrote.
Thanks for the pending bomb, too bad neither of our schools made it further! Andy

Yep, a pretty disappointing World Series, but at least we made it I guess. It was OSU's first time in 50 some odd years. Bombs not much, but a couple of good smokes in there.
well Andy, we can leave MANSMOKER home. how about them redsox? what is it now, 8 in a row and counting? I'm dieing a slow death hear in new york. i dont know when this bad dream will end...
