I think you sent it to me, bro.

I haven't smoked it yet. It was a multi-color reddish band...

heck i don't know, i was just browsing and saw them at famous smokes, the band color meant something about the blend and maker...heck i thought they were just cheapos that were made by same company as gran habanos...they were samples from local shop manager...i have one left, i'm at work so i don't know which band i have...just curious about how they are...i don't think they can be much, they're pretty cheap....

ok, i just went and looked up the details...red band is by George Rico, full bodied blend of nic and costa rican filler, columbian binder and a nic. grown habano 99 wrapper...supposed to be hearty with dark chocolate, pepper, and cedar flavors....
black bands...by Guillermo Rico...medium mellow with flavors of honey almond and cedar...nic and mexican(ugh)filler, honduran binder, and nic. corojo wrapper...
funny thing is famous has them for 65 per bundle, and smokeall has them for 37.50...go figure....also they are made in the same factory as gran habano, so probably about the same as them...these came from the rep that carries that line...

Famous will rip you a new A-hole as far as price is concerned. Atlantic has these pretty cheap also.

I smoked the black band one last night, not too bad of a cigar, torpedo, burnt well, light pepper taste to begin then mellowed out...wrapper beautiful and oilyyyyy...did i mention oily?...i screwed it up though, tried to smoke it while pruning some bushes around the house, and kept letting it go out, and drooling on it and crap...but overall not a bad stick, certainly deserves another shot...

Did a search and found this thread. I received two of the GR Specials "Red" as freebies from SmokeAll when I ordered my FDO Corojos. Didn't realize they were part of the deal, but heck, I'll smoke em'. Not a bad smoke at all, but I had trouble keeping it lit while I was looking through my new issue of CA today. Got a pretty good buzz going from all the frequent puffin' in an attempt to keep the thing lit. Just now starting to come back to earth! WHEW!!
