That is correct but not really the point.

Obama (jimmy Carter 2) is known for his speeches and slogans. They aren't very genuine when you borrow them from someone else.

Is the talent the words or the style of delivery? I'd argue that both play a part, and you cannot steal comfort or confidence.

He is using a similar argument, an argument which is very effective if you listen to the words, but that is hardly plagiarizing a speech verbatim.

No doubt about it, the man has a talent for prepared speeches and oratory.

Compare Obama to someone who was a great speaker and had substance, like Ronald Reagan and Obama pales in comparison.
