My fiance was given a bridal shower today and I feel like it's Christmas Big Grin. People were very generous in their gifts and it's greatly appreciated. We came away with some pretty cool stuff and she had a great time which is what's most important. Now that this has happened I'm getting pretty excited about the wedding. I guess this brought into perspective how close it is.

it looks like we are all tying the knot. we had our shower 3 weeks ago. its fun until you have to find room for all the new stuff. i also got a lot of cool drinking glasses. wine gobblets, ice beverages, champagne glasses, brandy glasses, high balls(tomcollins glasses) old fasions( scotch glasses ). all waterford. its like $6500 worth of glasses, i want to trade them in for cigars.

Yup, we got about a million wine glasses for our wedding. I took everything back but the riedel.

BTW, congrats smokie! Enjoy the gifts.

Congrats, everyone (I mean on the weddings especially, but on the gifts too.) I guess one advantage of our small wedding was that we were able to buy a small house and didn't have to worry about fitting everything in it! Smile

Smokie,

My first question was gonna be, how can people buy shower gifts for your bride since you're the expert? Then I realized that you probably did the registry for her and chose the best (or at least, the best of the affordable) of everything.

Congrats Smokie, Charloods and Pxl-vision, you are great guys and I am sure you deserve every bit of happiness that you will experience. There are plenty of tough times in life - I am sure that you have experienced that too - so you have to really enjoy those times where people are brought together for the very same reason: they love you and your future wife. It's your day - revel in it!
Best to you and your future wives,
Andy
