I decided to try JR Magazine, mainly because of the 8 free sticks.

I was wondering if anyone ordered the Mag, and how long after you placed your order for the magazine did you get your smokes?

I ordered the magazine a few weeks ago and have not received the cigars. I have received my credit card statement with the charges so part of the deal is working??!!

LOL! Big Grin

I was thinking of ordering, but if they charge you and don't ship right away, maybe I won't.

They said the cigars will go out 'right away'. If they don't ship as they claim, I hope that isn't a reflection of how they do business.

Ditto, ordered a few weeks back and still haven't recieved my sticks. Unusual for JR's but maybe because this is affiliated with the magazine, the order has to jump through some extra hoops before it is shipped.

This is what it says on their web-site about delivery:

There is no shipping charge on the magazine. The first issue of the magazine is in Late Fall 2004. All special bonus items will be shipped via UPS for $2.00. If your address is a PO Box, then it will be shipped via USPS Parcel Post for $2.00. Please allow two weeks for delivery.

We'll see I guess

As soon as I posted the last message, my cigars arrived.

They came UPS, and the address was wrong, so I think I will contact them to make sure they get it correct for the mag.

It's like magic!! I sent an email this morning inquiring as to the location of my missing cigars. Well wouldn't you know that they would arrive this afternoon by UPS. PSU Grad has uncovered the key to delivery - email them and the cigars appear!!

Mine came within 2 days. I ordered early in the first morning the e-mail came. Nicely packed with no damage. I just threw them in the humi for awhile. The cigars are easily worth the price so I figure I'm getting the mag free. I'm sure the magizine will be good also. Big Grin

Belicoso Sampler (8)
Qty Brand Frontmark
2 Montecristo Serie V Belicoso
2 Romeo y Jul. Maduro Belicoso
2 Trinidad Belicoso
1 Montecristo Platinum Habana No. 2
1 Romeo y Jul. 1875 Belicoso

I also got the Belicoso sampler. Arrived in great shape and they have been tucked away into a humi for 30 or so days before consumption.

Update, My cigars came Wednesday. All #2 sized pyramids: 2 TTT, 2 Monte Series VI, 2 RyJ Mads, 1 Monte Platinum, 1 RyJ Regular.

I am not crazy about RyJ's but I smoked it last night and it was decent. I prefer the RyJ Maduro #4's. These will be my first time with the pyramid Maduros, maybe I'll write a review.

I have been an off and on Monte smoker, never really liking their regular line, but the Platinums, Whites, V's, VI's are really good. Also I have been won over by the TTT. Not as strong as all of the ads try and make you believe, but a good cigar. They are a bit pricey so I try and trade fro them or catch them on a special.

I took the 10 coronas and got them in about a week. The shipping box didn't look so hot but the sticks were fine. Good assortment, too - RyJ (vintage & maduro), Upman, Montecristo and Trinidad (best of the bunch).

They listed the brands when I ordered. 30 bucks for two years plus the stogies? When I saw some of my fav yummy Monte's it was worth it. What is the retail on 8 pyramid sized stogies ranging from Monte Platinum to RyJ? 5-7$ each? Maybe 7-8$$ for the Platinums, TTT's and Series VI so it was worth it, even if the mag is crap.
