Has anyone tried a Free Cuba cigar. I saw that Cigar Insider scored it high but it now has a replaced the wrapper with Connecticut Windsor shade wrapper leaf.

I have not tried them, but have been tempeted. Cigarsinternational.com has them priced right! 2 bundles for $55! I think I might bite on this deal; seriously considering it.

I got two of them in the humidor right now. My brother in law gave them to me. He claims they are great. I'll fire one up tomorrow and let you know.

Well, just received a couple of bundles from CI today! I'm splitting them with another guy at the office. He immediately fired one of his up! Nice looking cigar, golden Connecticut shade wrapper. It initially burned even enough. It has a nice smell at "first light". But, he took off in his truck, so I can't tell much more about it at this point.

I'll fire up one of mine in a day or so.

You just want to smoke them because there is nipple showing up on the artwork.

Just had my first one that I bought from CI.

Very nice color, burned even the whole way, very mild Nicaraguan flavor. Ash was solid.

The only negative thing would be ring guage. I would have prefered it to be 54 instead of the "50" that they claim it to be. In my opinion, it was closer to a 48.

Overall, TT gives the Free Cuba a score of 7.5 out of 10 points.

I also split a bundle with a co-worker about 2mos ago....

I fired one up that night, very green taste, I was tempted to give him my half and forget about them. But by the time I spoken to him (about 2wks later) he told me his was GREAT, so I figured I may as well try one more. Over the next month I have had 2 or 3, which have been just short of fantastic...a great even smoke.

I figure that the shipment may have shocked them and when left in the humi for a few weeks, they settled down...i suggest these if you get a good deal (i bought 25 churchies for 49.00 online), very much worth it.

enjoy.

I agree I ordered some last month and smoked one the day afer I got them. I did not like the mild almost cardboard taste. However, I smoked my second one today after they had been in my humidor for a month and foung it still a little on the mild side but the taste was much improved. I dont think I will buy any more but it was not a waste of money. Wink

what part of Gitmo is free? LOL,
everyone there, belongs to someone, be it their God pr their Govt or someone else god and someone elses govt. LOL
how about a "hands off Cuba" cigar
an interesting side note, most Cubans don't know they are imprisoned, LOL. just ask them. i did, the concept of freedom is different than the US's.
GitMo a free enclave? i really hope that was a joke, if mot, i sure would like to use it with my family living in Cuba. they would get a big of a laugh out of it as i did, LMAO

true Castro will one day expire but that does not mean that the governmental system will as well. the Govt can still continue without t'd family man as rhe revolution does not hinge on one man. but on it's people and it's governmental system, which is a very extensive Govt. check out this site ?
