I participated in two different cigar of the month clubs. I found them to be cool for the first month or two, then you realize that you're getting one or two nice sticks and some dreck for a price that would allow you to purchase even more singles at your local B&M each month.
Your tastes will develop well and quickly and soon you won't want anyone choosing for you.

This month I received 2 Cusano Xclusivo, 2 Punch Magnum Toro's, 2 Gran Habano Corojo #5 and 2 Vibe Corojo (Rocky Patel). All quality sticks. This is more the norm than the exception with Cigars International’s COTMC.
As for the fun of choosing my own - I do that as well, but where I live I don't have the option of good shops like those I've seen in Orlando, Tampa, Chicago, etc... My options here tend to be a "walk in" area added to a tobacco shop. The people running these usually have no idea what a fine cigar is - or how to properly care for the cigars.
I've found that Cigars International does a pretty good job of providing quality smokes to their cliental.
Also, I’m no rookie at cigar smoking, been enjoying it for 20+ years. And I have developed specific tastes (Rocky Patel Vintage being my current favorite) but also like the variety that I get from not only choosing my own sticks in a shop but the surprise of what shows up on my doorstep once a month.
when I first started buying cigars on line, I tried a couple of them, they were ok. one of them sent me acids one month, cancelled that one shortly therafter.
