FirstRecon, your right, most of the 1/3 who beleive the conspiracy theories are immigrants. Remember that with the exception of the Native Americans, we are all immigrants to this country!

Sorry, I don't buy the "We are all immigrants to this country" crap. I was born in Olympia, Washington, and the last time I looked, its a part of the U.S.of A., Not Canada, not Mexico, but a part of the U.S.of A.

That's fine, as long as you don't consider other US born citizens to be immmigrants. My problem is with people who label a person an immigrant based on their race!

I agree with you guys, the 9/11 conspiracy theories are crap. Anyone who believes 9/11 was a conspiracy should read the article from Popular Mechanics (http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html) from a year ago that debunks every popular conspiracy theory.

FirstRecon, your right, most of the 1/3 who beleive the conspiracy theories are immigrants. Remember that with the exception of the Native Americans, we are all immigrants to this country!

Flashman, thanks for the Monty Python lines, its good to start the morning with a laugh!

Hoffma,

Thanks for partially agreeing with me on something I believe. Another thing I believe is that ALL of the western world has accepted more than its fair share of illegal immigrants.

Your comment on the Native Americans being the only true non-immigrants; where would the entire world be if the relvolutions in Europe, the US and on and on, had not taken place. I don't see you making that statement about the ancient Japanese, the Chinese, The Arabs, etc., all of which, took over entire civilizations for their own gain. It's called human nature. It alwasy has been here and it will always be here, as long as man breathes air.

To this I say Firstly I am an Immigrant (sort of and legal might I add). I was adopted at the age of six months. But I do not believe that this was a conspiracy. There is no way that it is possible. Better yet are the people who claim it was a conspiracy for an insurance claim. I take offense to this be even being thought of a conspiracy. Thousands of people gave their time and a great effort to help the victims of thie tradegy. For people to call this a conspiracy is outrageous and idiotic. Tell that to the families of the victims of 9/11 .
September 11th, 2001 I can tell were I was when I found out about this. I was a freshmen in highschool, sitting in studyhall. It still sends shivers down my spine thinking of it.

For those of you who live in Minnesota. Next time your at a twins game or watching the game on tv. The September 11th Banner titled "Remember the Hereos" was put help put toghter by my father and some of his freinds.

To those who believe that this was a conspiracy I say this: "Lets not forget how many people lost their lives, family members, and dear freinds. It would be an insult to believe such an idiotic idea that this was a conspiracy." On that day America lost a lot of good but we pulled toghter for those in need. That my freinds is something to be proud of. Let us hope that another event like this shall never happen again.

Chris,

Thank you for assimillating. It's truly is a shame that more immigrants don't feel the way you do.

When my Grandparents and my Dad game thur Ellis Island They stopped being Dutch. No one was ever allowed to use Dutch in my Grandfather's house. My Dad lost his Dutch by the time he was 7 or 8. When asked if they would go back to the "Old Country" for a visit my Grandfather would ask "WHY?". If it was so good, why did we leave with only the clothes on our backs & what we could in a small bag. There was never any Dutch-American in my family...

hoffma,

Do you truly believe that race is not a part of this discussion and that race (non-assimilating race) it a part of the problem? Naive.

that 1/3 must be really niave to fall for that B/S that Michael Moore feeds.

9/11 was a combined conspiracy by the construction workers unions to get more jobs, by the FDNY to get a bigger raise in contract negotiations and the defense industry to sell more war machines. quick, apoint another panel, Bush and Lay most likely where involved too... its a good thing michael Moore exposed all this

Believing 9/11 was a conspiracy is crazy, however, I have met those who beleive that many in the government, including W, knew the "when where, and how" the attacks would take place, and chose not to act. I don't want to, and don't believe that, but the notion that some in the government knew ahead of time is at least remotely plausible . . . .

We're talking about 1/3 of all Americans believeing that 9/11 was a conspiracy. Your comment was that "it must be all the immmigrants". I'm sorry, it just sounds ridiculous to me because that would mean we have 100 million immigrants. I'm assuming your definition of a legal immigrant is a citizen who is foreign born. In that case, only 11% of our population is foreign born. So if all of those people believe 9/11 to be a conspiracy, then there is still 22% of US citizens (US born) who believe 9/11 is a conspiracy.

Like a true Republican, you just don't get it Mikey.

Points and hexagons don't pull in a good signal. Surface area is key when making a tinfoil hat that gets things done. Wink A nice inverted oblong is best for good reception. Until Motorola steps in and starts making a Ross Perot Special Edition Recptor Dome, that's as good as it gets for the home hobbyist. Now stop making a fool of yourself for once.

He saves time by just borrowing your tinfoil hat. And who could argue with the wisdom of that decision? Just look at the fine craftsmanship evident in your post ("do you made it"--woof).

Do you remember the pictures from Abu Ghraib? American boys and girls, breaking bones, unleashing rabid dogs on some cowering sap (usually a petty thief), stacking naked men like cordwood in human pyramids, mugging for the camera all the while? And remember, according to Donald Rumsfeld, this was just the tip of the iceberg--there was evidence of much worse (like people being sexually assaulted with chemical lights). Many of these offenders later admitted that their part in all of this had been "entertainment"--they found it all a real laugh riot. And still you ask "is it possible that Americans could act with such cruelty"? Isn't the answer obvious?

For the record, I don't believe that the events of 9/11 were part of some conspiracy--and that, mostly, because this admin. seems incapable of keeping secrets. But polls like this are a good index of widespread cynicism, Raven. Why are so many Americans distrustful of their government, the media's fact-finding abilities, etc.? My guess is that both have earned the public's suspicion.

I don't know how anyone could possibly believe that it was a conspiracy. It's just ludicrous to thing that. It makes me sick to hear how people can take a tragedy like that and pervert it to fit there argument against and administration they don't agree with.

FirstRecon are you still in the Corps?

Pintoirish,

It wouldn't matter if there were 100 pyramids of naked prisoners... Compared to the severing of one person's head recorded on video to show how 'brave' [depraved is more accurate] that Islamo-fascists are!

DO NOT EVER try to equivocate ANYTHING the allies do with the savagery of these animals! All you do is demonstrate your own ignorance...take it somewhere else...Iran would be a good place for you to consider...

Joel482,

I agree 100%!!! As far as I am concerned we are not hard enough on these raghead extremists. The way we fight and treat these worthless raghead extremist is like a boxer fighting a street fighter as long as we play by rules and they don't it will cost American lives. We cant be hard enough on these people.

Welcome to World War III, Islam against the rest of the world. Just take a world map and color in all the countries that have conflict or terrorest attacks then note which of these countries you colored in involve Muslims on one side or both. You end up with around 95% of all world conflicts involve Muslims fighting Muslims or Muslims fighting non-Muslims. The amazing thing about it is that Muslims will quickly tell you that Islam is a religion of peace. Yea right, religion of peace my ass.

It does not surprise me that 1/3 of Americans believe that 9-11 was a conspiracy. There are still people that believe the Holocaust was a conspiracy as well. It just amazes me how ridiculous conspiracy theories always arise around major events and how people do not accept reality.

Raven,

Thanks for the support... I have said before, and will continue to say, we cannot fight 'politically correct' wars. War is not an antiseptic endeavor. Things get broken. But, the only way to peace is through victory, whatever that victory may cost.

To use your 'street fighter' analogy: We're the modern equivalent of the British during our war for independence. Remember the nice, neat lines of soldiers in their beautiful red/white uniforms???

We had better wake up, do it soon, and bring as much of the civilized world with us; or, there will be nothing left to fight for...
