About mid day I enjoyed a AF Hemingway Short Story and while mowing the lawn I had a La Gloria Cubana Churchill and while grill ribs I had a new Bolivar Fuerte Belicoso Fino, what was a good smoke and a good way to end a great day ........

CAO Cameroon while mowing the lawn. This evening while a storm rolled in, a nice lightly spicy CAO Brazilia Gol!
I'm all re-stocked on boxes of the Brazilia's (Gol!'s and Samba's), a box of Mx2 Toro's, with a Belicoso and a bunch of Cameroons as freebies. I am now officially over-capacity and pursuing the coolerdoor method. A Trinidad Maduro is the plan for tomorrow afternoon. Life is good.

Sancho Panza Valiente with several MGD's.........and with the crazy sort of Thunder Storm we had here this afternoon there was a spectacular double rainbow over the house that was simply an awesome sight to see..........

I had a RyJ Maduro Reserve toro. Nice flavor, but it was pretty tightly packed and hard to draw on. I perservered, managing to loosen her up slightly with a little finger massage, and it was ultimately an OK smoke. Didn't live up to the beautiful exterior, tho. (That's life, I guess. )

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries. -David Savona

Went rock climbing for the first part of the day (great to finally be able to climb outdoors on real rock instead of plastic), then dropped by CigarMasters mid-afternoon to watch some of the Preakness preliminary races. My pint of Guinness was perfect with a smooth Avo No. 3 ... a perfect burn and the thick, creamy smoke was actually reminiscent of Guinness, maybe with a bit of chocolate added. It was a nice afternoon.
On the way home, I popped into Watch City Cigars and bought an Avo LE-5 I'd been wanting to try. I just finished it with some Blanton's Single Barrel. I like a smoke with an easy draw, but this was TOO easy, to the point of being sloppy ... like smoking thru a soda straw. The smoke was thick and smooth, but there was nothing in the taste I could latch onto. It was kinda bland, though it's supposed to be a full-bodied smoke. To me, it was just okay ... nothing to knock your socks off.

Just got home from work and I think I'm gonna go smoke my last PAM '64 Imperial and have a strong drink. I'm starting to run seriously low on smokes. It's time to reorder .

We gave a wedding reception for a cigar smoking couple last night, and everyone brought cigars to trade. I got to try a couple of aged cigars last night, which included a Monte #2 from 1998, and a PSD#4 from 2000. Both were awesome smokes.
