My apologies in advance as I'm sure this has already been asked, but didn't see it in a cursory search. Anyway, my question is this: how do you organize your cigars in your humidor? Do you keep it by brand, strength, country of origin, or does it even matter? As an example: the VSG and the Hemmingway are both made by A. Fuente, but very different in flavor profiles.
A lot of it is aesthetic - what looks good together. Personally, I don't worry much about flavors marrying. I think it would take years for that to happen, and frankly, aside from long term aging cigars (which are kept in their dress boxes anyway), most of the ones in my humidors aren't going to be around that long.
I do, however, separate Cubans from NC's by keeping them in separate humidors, though this is done because I keep CC's at about 63% RH and NC's at about 67%.

I put the better ones on the Top Shelf. Then I get oohs and ahhswhen people see inside my humi.
I have 4 quadrants. The top shelf is for the ones that aren't as nice but are pretty (as in pretty labels, etc.) The bottom are the super premiums or not that particularly attractive looking. Then I split it left and right on each level based on body.
I didn't really think it mattered all that much either, but I recently did notice that one of my humidipaks that had been touching a cigar was slightly colored by the cigars oils.

Actually, I have them split by blender. For instance, on the top shelf of the cabinet, I have 1 section for Jose Pepin Garcia blends (601/Padilla/Tatuaje/Cabaiguan/DPG), 1 section for Rocky Patel/J. Fuego, 1 Section for misc. Everything else is boxed....

I have a large coolerdor for boxes and a 100 count desktop that has the cigars I smoke more-frequently on the top shelf. As they deplete, I transfer them from the coolerdor boxes to the desktop.
Likewise, from bulk storage (cabinet) where they are not organized at all, to desktops where I separate by blender/manufacturer.

Great idea! I'm planning my cabinet purchase now, but had just assumed I would get rid of my large humidor. Now I know I'll keep both. Thanks for the tip Smoker99!
