Ok.. my teams are stinking up the joint today, but my cigar is going strong.
My Camacho Diploma Maduro has a 2 inch ash. Nice construction, great draw, great taste. Feeling all together better about life in general. (Not really, still bummed, but faking it nicely.)
Just for argument sake, what is your best ash? Which cigar? (you dirty minded boys...)
Best ash for me has been the CAO Brazilia Gol! or Samba. Color, wrapper burn, evenness, longevity are consistently exceptional. While on a sofa at a local shop, I tend to tip the cigar up between draws, and have had the Brazilia's tight ash go more than 4 inches before gravity takes over. More importantly, these have a consistent flavor profile that I have grown to love.
Worst ash lately is from the Gispert robusto that was included in the Cigar Mania goody bag. Although the cigar itself was okay (not bad, certainly not great), I swear it was made from short filler, since it shed its poorly colored ash every three minutes, even if undisturbed. I won't be buying these, and I hope there are better sticks in the rest of the bag.

I've only had a few (hard to find), but the Alec Bradley Pryme 400 Torpedo will normally hold the best ash of any cigar I've smoked.
They are well constructed, burn perfectly, and mighty tasty to boot. If you are careful, you could smoke the entire thing down to the band with one continuous ash. Ash is white, firm, and not flaky at all.
Andy nicknamed them the "Pimp Stick" at the last hurricane herf because of the huge gaudy band and all the gold embossed cedar/foo-foo on the thing..... They are an excellent cigar however.....but pretty pricey.
A nice fat ash is a wonderful thing.

Most Torano cigars will hold a fantastic ash. I've smoked several Exodus Silver robustos and quite a few 1916 Cameroons up to the band before the ash came off. I think the longest though was a Torano Grand Nica (limited production only cigar) that I smoked up to a one inch nub and the ash never fell off.
But I agree with rbihari on the Pryme's. They do hold a fantastic ash also...and its one of my favorite smokes..though a little pricey since they are hard to get at a discount.
One reason the CAO Brazilia's hold such a terrific ash is they are made by Torano in the same factory as the Torano Casa Torano's.
