Hopefully he wont be the last dictator to die in the next few years.

One of the worst of our species has been eliminated and all the mainstream media can talk about is (1) how much the US was involved in his execution and (2) how badly the Arab street will react. I guess from now on the mobs will be chanting "ADDITIONAL death to America"!

I missed your point at 1st with "ADDITIONAL" part but yes I agree. They "all America haters" will find any excuse to hate America more.

I only wished they would have tortured him to death several years ago just like he & his 2 piece of sh*t sons had done to so many people.

I hope they get DNA from the dead body just to be sure the b**stard is dead.

I have seen older pictures of Saddam "lighting up". I wonder what his favorite cigars were?

I'm sure he's enjoying one right now. A fine cigar in one hand and at least one of his 72 virgins in the other.

Had I been the soldier to find him in the hole he was in, I would have kneecapped is A$$. He'd still be alive, but hurting like a Mofo. That is, until his hanging.

Good riddens to bad rubbish.

As a shia muslim I'm happy he's dead, but is death the easy way out for someone like him? He'll be seen as a martyr by some - whereas when he was arrested he lost a lot of respect for supposedly 'giving in'.

On the subject of cigars, i saw footage of him smoking one, but was he holding it in the right way - halfway up? i found that strange.

LOL!

Look, the thing is, the so-called "Arab Street" - to the extent that such a concept is even valid - will read anything the US does anyway they want.

According to one news report I read, one witness said he looked terrified. Personally, I'm glad he was terrified. He had a few long months to look forward to this. Much better this way than had a US soldier simply dropped a grenade down his spider hole. Although, putting a grenade in a different hole of his might have been pretty satisfying.

I'm glad that he is gone. I only hope that his former country recognizes that they are free and that war and killing shouldn't be an everyday thing.

I just read where his body will be released and he will be buried near Tikrit. Question: Why is his body being turned over to the family? The Nuremburg defendants executed at the end of WWII were cremated and their ashes scattered in the Atlantic so they could not become martyrs. Ditto with Spandau prison, it was demolished and the debris dumped in the sea. Don't we learn from history?

Instead of hanging his sorry a$$, I wish they had let the family of some of his victims drop him feet first into a wood chipper. And stop it half way so he could watch himself die.

I'd vote for that one, especially if at 1st they'd stop at the ankle & STOP THE BLEEDING FOR A FEW DAYS, (with zero pain killers) then start again for say 6 inches each time or so until the process was over.

You're very sadistic...but if the penatly fits the crime then it's only fair, right, & just.
