[Let's take things to extremes. If everyone was gay (ignore artificial means) the entire world would die out in one generation. It seems to me that this behavior is wrong.]
Well if this were to ever happen, which it will not, then I am sure it would be legal for homosexuals to marry.
Humans are animals. Mammals to be exact. All mammals including all primates have individuals that engage in homosexuality. These individuals engage in different degrees of homosexuality. Some are same sex`only, some are bi-sexual, and some not at all. Never has this "homosexuality" increased to the level that it causes them to "die out."
[Second, almost everyone, is saying as long as it makes people happy and doesn't effect others then have at it. Doesn't it affect us? We are discussing it now? If someone marries their horse doesn't that effect me? My son comes home and asks why Billy's Dad is a horse. Ok, extreme example: Bob and Sue want to have kids just to sell them on the black market. Bob and Sue are happy. Adopting parents are happy. Does that make it right? We are such a 'feel good' society. What if Bob and Sue were teens and did not tell anyone about the baby and just buried it in the back yard?]
If Bob and Sue sold their baby on the black market to a couple that could not have children and the child was raised in a loveing and careing environment I would not have a problem with it. After all people in this country go to other countries and pay for children to adopt. China is the leading nation that sells babies to people that want to adopt a child.
If Bob and Sue killed the bady and "buried it in the back yard" that would be murder and Bob & Sue should arrested, given a fair trial, and if found guilty they should be sentenced to death.
[There are a set of moral standards that we all have. I think each of us should evaluate where we get our standard from. I don't think "People are free to do what they want, as long as they don't impinge on anyone else's freedoms (ie privacy of your own home)." cuts it. There are many times I feel this society is like the frog in hot water. The water is slowly getting hotter until we are cooked. If we had just jumped into the morality we have today (boiling water) we would be much more upset about things.]
Morals?
Whose morals?
Christian morals?
What if I was not a Christian?
Which Christian denomination? Catholic? Morman? Amish? Baptist? Church of Christ? Wait, I know, the denomination that "pass the serpent." You know the ones that pass around copperheads & rattlesnakes during their religious services to prove who are true believers and who are not. This way we could tell who has the right morals.
Hey, I got it, how about President Bill Clinton's morals. He was, after all, our president for two terms, elected by the majority of our citizens that chose to vote. This way it would be OK to lie and chase young women after we are married. We could invent new ways to include cigars in our sexual affairs with women half our age. This sounds like fun.
I am sooooo confused. NOT!!
No way! I will live my life and raise my children with the morals I believe are right. To tell the truth even when it may get me in trouble. To be faithful to the person I chose to marry. Not to judge others that may be different than me. Just to name a few.
[I will get off my soapbox now and get out my cigar to listen to all my hate mail.]
Me Too.

My Grandfather got really mad at my Aunt and did not speak to her for years because she married an Italian, Catholic and worst of all his imagrant parents owned a small store that sold cigaretts, wine, and beer. They lived in a small flat above the store. My Grandfather believed that my Aunt's new husband and his family were sinners and had no values or morals. He believed that since he was Irish and Southern Baptist that my Aunt was marrying another race and out of the propper religion.
My Aunt's husband worked his way through Law School and got a job as an assistant District Attorney. He then became THE District Attorney for Jefferson County, (Birmingham), Alabama. Then was appointed as a State Criminal Appeals Court Judge. They only had 1 child a daughter. Who now serves as a Family Court Judge in Jefferson County, Alabama. Who according to my Grandfather was the product of a mixed race and religious couple and because of this would never amount to anything. My Grandfather was worried about what his friends would think.
This is a true story of how morals and religious beliefs of the day,(early 1950s), are now viewed as normal and not a problem.
By the way my Grandfather and my Aunt made up years later but the damage it did to them never truely healed and the sad part was my cousin grew up thinking her Grandfather did not love her as much as the rest of his Grandchildren. I always felt sorry for her and that my Grandfather was wrong for judgeing my Aunt for who she chose to marry and judgeing her husband because he was Italian and catholic and judging her in-laws because they sold cigaretts, wine, and beer. This is one of many reasons I believe it is wrong to judge others and question their morals and values.

I guess I got lucky. My wife is a Catholic (Italian from Argentina), I am Armenian Christian. She is 25 years old, I am 38. We got married in Armenian Church. We have a 8 month old son and I am going to baptize him in Armenian Church. He will probably speak more languages than I do (I don't speak neither Spanish nor Italian). My point is my family never had any problem me to get married somebody who is not Armenian Christian. The only problem her parents had was 13 years different between my wife and me, but we didn't really care what they though at the time. Now everything is good... I can’t say that her father loves me, but he is a prick, so I don’t really care. My sister married for 20 years, her husband is a Jew. That was a big problem at the time, but now everybody in my family loves this guy. Besides being a MD psychiatrist, he is very nice guy and like a brother to me. Actually they got lucky, that when they got married I was serving in the Russian Arm Forces. Being 19 years old and stupid, I would probably be against there marriage. Me and my sister are the only 2 people in my huge family that got married to somebody outside our culture and religion. My mother always said: If my kids are happy, I am happy. I don’t know how my father would react if he still be alive, but he died when I was 15 at age of 39. Back to the topic of Gay Marriage: I am not against gays. I wouldn't say, like some people do, that I have a lot of gay friends, I don't, not even one. I do a lot of business with gay people. I am not against gay marriage. If they decide to get married, I don't really care. Just don't bring this ideology to my family, or my kids.
You can't seriously try to draw a paralel between homosexual animals and humans. Animals will inbreed some are canibals, and many eat their young. Animals will deficate where they sleep, and eat it if it they smell somthing they like. Not a rational argument. Humans are not *just* any mamal. We have social orders that a based on morals and civility. We have the ability to decide for ourself what is right or wrong, where most animals exist on instinct. As far as a complete homosexual society... Not as long as I'm alive! I love women! I love every womanly thing about them. It aint going to happen. Another rediculous argument. The importance of this arguement is what many to believe is right and wrong. Luckily, I live in society that allows me to define this for myself (for the most part). As I stated before, I don't believe homosexuality is genetic. I also believe it is a moral choice, and wrong in my opinion. That is a my belief (a differant argument for a differant time) but I will not stand in the way of others freedom regardless of how wrong I think their choice of partners is. For those that want to hinder these peoples choice of lifestyle, I question your purpose. To me, passing laws to restrict them, is just a sign of hatred and intolerance. Next, you'll want to break out the torches, and burn crosses in their yards. Just leave me out of it.
