What's the purpose of burning gold? The gold chocolate and lollipop are even more blasphemous. So you can go around saying "hey I ate gold"

I think eating gold makes more sense, after you finish eating and do your thing you can dig through, find the gold, clean them, and then sell them, it's like a cash refund. Except for the gross part

I have a question maybe Docbarry or another scientific type can answer. Is there any danger in ingesting gold through saliva or the smoke in your mouth. Am I misaplying science but isn't gold a "heavy" metal? Is it dangerous or not as it is used in dental work?
Oh yeah, I think they should market them in those glass topped boxes as well.

Silver is dangerous and toxic, this is one thing I know, Silver and Mercury. But I am not sure about gold. But apparently it isn't, they these bafoons are claiming their products are OK by US and EU food regulations.

Since I create the gold cigars discussed in this forum I thought I would answer some of the questions and comments expressed here.
First the health concerns. Gold is a very stable metal and it is biocompatible. That means it does not interact with the body. When you eat it, it just goes though. Yes.. it ends up in the toilet… No I would not recommend trying to recycle it.. I can think of more pleasant and more effective ways to make money. Gold is used in Surgery and to fill teeth for example because it is biocompatible i.e. not unhealthy. Gold has no taste. So what’s the point in eating it? Well there are several: It looks good. It is an outrageous thing to do.. It is a cool symbol when you give it to someone or want to celebrate something. You could ask: what’s the points of fireworks?
To the person referring to poor African children dying of hunger I would answer that when you spend any money on something that is not necessary (a car worth more than USD10,000, a meal in a restaurant, a watch worth more than USD20, etc..) you make the choice of not helping these children with the money you have selfishly spent on you. Does this make you an evil and selfish person? Probably yes…
More specifically the gold on the cigars does not alter its taste because the gold melts at 2000 degrees Celsius and the cigars burns at less than 1,000. So the gold just disappears in the ash. The gold is applied in a way to leave enough room for air to pass through and not alter the cigar natural airflow. I would be very surprised if anybody could differentiate our cigars with and without the gold in a blind test. The smoking experience is not altered. Not any better not any worse….
A last funny geopolitical observation: We sold only one cigar in the US in the last 6 months. We are selling tons in the middle East. Americans pay more and more dollars to consume Saudi Oil, the Saudis spend the dollars to enjoy pleasures you don't seem to understand, the dollars end up with us in Switzerland….. Life is good.

and so, gold really has no effect whatsoever on how a cigar burns/draws/tastes, except that it makes the cigar cost many times more and makes the person who smoke it look like a d-bag who needs a serious beating.

Q: Why would any knowledgeable and self-respecting cigar smoker spend $100+ on a crappy unknown cigar wrapped in gold leaf when he/she could spend considerably less and obtain a world renowned cigar, or a tired and true personal favorite that they might actually enjoy?

These cigars aren't for aficionados; these cigars are for dumb asses who know nothing except conspicuous consumption. They thrive on it. It is their filler. I call these people Yuppies, Hummer drivers, and Wheeds. These ridiculous cigars are for the people who you see taking themselves way too seriously, the people who make you think, "what an absolute bloody tit." This is the archetype of those who look not to enjoy themselves, but to expect shallow impressions from others in order to feel falsely superior.

I am honestly embarrassed, and I think that your provided explanation is saddening. If you profit from this crap, then kudos on prying up a ridiculous market, but something tells me you don’t know any better, which makes you almost as special as a jackass in the eyes of those who can look beyond themselves, which is a set the includes most honest and self-respecting people I’m afraid.
Please send me one of these embarrassing things, I’d LOVE to do an honest review on this cigar forum.

This could very well be true. Most Americans I've met were practical people who cared about their hard earned money and knew how to put it in it's place of worth. Sadly, Saudis, Kuwaitis and the other bunch are just rich as hell and money has just spoiled them. I've seen worse than buying gold cigars there, believe me.
DeLafee, I appreciate your coming here to clarify things (well it's your business anyway), but I am still not convinced by anything you said and not in hell I am going to spend any money on a gold cigar, that is probably a dog rocket disguised in a mask of gold. You're best chances is sending one of these to one of our trusted and respected members here, Docbarry or Extensioncord, they could review it and if it has any good they won't hesitate to tell the truth.
