Most of the time it is best to go directly to the maker/dealer of the hot tub that you want to buy. You can save hundreds if not thousands of dollars that way. Do not buy one from the local place!

What type of hot tub do you currently have? What type are you looking for? For how many people? Is it going to be for all year around?

I have a hot springs and I love mine. In fact, I am getting ready to get into it w/the girls.

Also try Tiger River Spas. They are a step up from Hot Springs. Now your getting into the big bucks.

It's a 15 year old Jacuzzi. Sunkin into the deck. 4 to 5 people. Currently 7' by 7' opening. Looking for same size maybe a little smaller.

Any idea what that might cost?

I have a Sundance Spa. Have had it for about 4 years now with zero trouble. Fine piece of gear. Great in the cold weather and in the summer turn the temp down to 80 degrees and it is very nice in the hot summer weather. Very nice place to relax and have a cigar and a drink with the wife.

The good ones start out around 6000 and go up from there... The dealer that I bought mine from had over 25 models on the floor and the prices ranged from 3500 (2 seater) to over 25,000 (basicly hot tub pool).

I can say that with hot tubs, you do get what you pay for.

Thanks Rhino. Looking at the Marquis 415.

Installation is going to be the hard part. Our homes previous owner sunk the hot tub into the deck. We will need to get a crain to remove the old tub. Make some modifications to the deck and then drop the new tub in.

I have a Coleman 5 seater. been running for 4 years with nary a problem. Have moved it twice cuz home buyers didn't want to pay extra for it (ALWAYS exclude your cool stuff when you list your home for sale!)

We put it on the deck, but had to spend a few hundred bux to add extra supports (concrete pilings and stuff)

Thank goodness we had to do this, when we took off the decking, we found half the back sill of the house was rotting away because the deck builder "forgot" to install flashing!

4 grand later we had the tub on the deck. Nuthin like buyin a project house! Cool

Yeah. We're finding the last owner did a lot of his own work --- in creative ways.
