After a fantastic AF WOA this afternoon I decided on a HDM 1066 Excalibur Dark Night.
I never saw the foot of a cigar smoke so much! Half way through I tossed it. Lit up a Carlos Torano Signature collection, half way through I tossed it too. Gave up for the night.
Started the day with a San Cristobal Guajiro by Ashton. Strong cup of coffee with it made for a eye opening morning. After lunch it was a Padron 6000. Always great. That maybe it for today but might sneek out later for a quick Padron Delicias if the mood hits.
To night i sat out side in the back of my driveway ismoked a bolivar rubusto non cuban it was about 5x54 i lit it and the ash grew to about two and half inches about one quarter inch from the band as all us cigar smokers know when it all comes together there is nothing like it. it was great tasteing as well as the ash growing that long every so often.-FC
Nothing tonight for me either. However, tomo is my birthday and I have a few Davidoff's and Zino Platinium Grand Master's on my cigar menu for tomorrow.
---------- Back by request:
Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"
Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"

Enjoyed my 1st ever AF Short Story with a margarita on the patio after work. I have read a lot of rave reviews about these and gladly agree. It's a very nice 30 minute smoke, smooth and easy draw, mild to medium flavor. A good solid smoke. There are many other fine choices from an ISOM in this price range though. Later, after our usual Friday brick oven chicken cordon bleu pizza dinner it was a Romeo y Julieta Exhibition No. 4. This was first of many, many of these I have smoked, that developed an irratating metallic taste about 2/3's of the way thru. Am finsihing the evening, after a nice Red Sox win, smoking another nice MC4 sipping a Newcastle Brown Ale while hoping for a Yankee loss.

My wife and I shared a Cusano Corojo toro on the back deck and listened to the crickets and peepers.
By shared, I mean she had maybe a half-dozen puffs. I had the rest. She had Grey Goose Citron on the rocks, while I had a freezer-chilled glass of Junipero, over which I solemnly pronounced the word 'vermouth' while facing the general direction of France. And a thin slice of lemon.

Tonight I had my first RP vintage 1999 conn. It was outstanding. Had it with coke and Hennessy.
