I think they call that a Carolina Dog....it's very tasty!

Chicago style is my favorite, but living in the Detroit area, can't find 'em. If I'm home, mustard, onions and relish, maybe saurkraut if we have any in the house. If I'm out, chili, mustard and onions. Gotta be natural casing too. Vienna all-beef are my faves followed by local Kowalski and Koegel.

Sahlen's hot dogs with some onion and Weber's Horseradish Mustard. I sometimes mix things up by using Weber's Hot Green Tomato Piccallili Relish. If your ever in Western NY I would recommend trying Sahlen's. www.sahlen.com

I like Ketchup, honey mustard and sweet relish usually.

Sometime I put cole slaw on them too.

If I make a Chili dog I put onions, mustard and cheese on them.

I like mine dripping with chili, cheese, & onions. personal faves are Grays Papaya (ask for the burnt dogs) and Chicago style.

when at home: fried with jufran, eggs & rice Smile

what about brands which do you guys like? I only buy Sabrett, Hebrew National, Best, or Nathans. I hate Ball Park and its ilk.

When I was a kid we went to Jimmy's in Savin Rock (New Haven CT) for the split dogs. Cut down the middle and grilled with onions and relish.

Of course nothing compares to the pushcart dogs on the streets of NYC!

Kind of off topic but now I love Brats and sauerkraut.

When I ate them I topped them with everything. Thus......THE BIG DOG!

Stopped eating them when I found out how they are made, what they are made of, and under what conditions. Though they were tasty while they lasted.

In downtown Denver you can get a cart dog. But there is no guarantee the person selling them has a health certficate as required.

My favorite is a good old southern "slaw dog".

1/4 pound hotdog topped with homemade coleslaw....that is all.

The hot dog has to have ketchup, onions, and relish. A braut has to have mustard and saurkraut.
