help,
I got home today from work to check on my humidor and the humidity level was at 80%!! I am located in LI NY, and the weather has been above average with warm temps the past few days. But to jump from 70%-80%humidity?? seems odd to me. I did recently add a small box of sealed cubans in the humidor..would this have anything to do with it as well as the weather??

For now I am going to put my humidor in my basement where it is much cooler...

Any thoughts or suggestions out there are greatly appreciated!

thanks!

I agree with Scott. Add a bunch of cigars and the humidity will spike until it levels off in a few days

If you can keep the temp below 72 you should not have any problems

I don't beleive that the high humidity will hatch beetles, I would more concerd about the temp getting above 72-73

Agree..You are more concerned about temperature with beetles. Anything 72 and under is probably okay.
