My condolences Doc. Better days are coming. Not very good timing with your business partner away on vacation.
Tonight I had the latest from the Don Pepin Garcia/Pete Johnson (of Tatuaje) line, a Cabaiguan Belicoso Fino with my Speyburn single malt.
A very respectable smoke. Like the brown and red Tatuaje’s, it’s the closest I’ve had to a real Cuban.
I may even substitute these for my go-to smoke instead of the DPG Serie JJs. It will *not* take the place of my favorite, the red label Tatuaje Havana VI line though.

My condolences to you and Mrs. Doc on your loss. No smoke for me tonight...too cold out and I don't want to buy more cigars at my local B&M tonight just to smoke.

Sorry about your loss. My mother in-law is staying with us for a week, and she is good cook. And she likes my port and fine wine. Another excuse to drink with someone.
I know I will miss her when . . .
No smoking today just admiring a Padron #9 beside my computer. 1 of 8.
Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.
I had a Tatuaje Series P P1 Corona Gorda while walking the dog before the winter storm sets in here. Not a bad smoke, especially for the price...a milder, abbreviated version of the Havana VI.

That sounds terrible Doc. Mother in laws get a lot of stick but i've been blessed- mine is fantastic value, i'm sure yours was too, may she rest in peace.
RASS, typical RA flavour, but they only seem to be getting stronger with time, i wish they'd calm down a bit.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia
Sorry to hear that Doc, hope she lived a long, happy life.
Today i had a Fonseca Vintage to start the day with Coffee. After reading the "small cigars" post. I went out and got an Oliva G natural, Oliva G maduro, LGC Maduro, and Don Tomas.. All in the itty bitty sizes. Had the oliva G natural (very good), then had the LGC Maduro (not as good in the small version).. Both with Jim Beam Black.
