HdM petit corona and an espresso...what did you do AFTER the commercial break? LOL!
Found a few needles in the haystack...stuff I thought was long gone. One of the things was our dog's name-tag. She passed away some time ago and it's a nice memento that now is part of my keychain.

Man...there's a lot of stuff...correspondence from my grandparents I had saved, stuff from my parents, too...pretty amazing.
She was a great dog...incredibly athletic but skittish and would be very afraid of things as simple as Christmas decorations on neighboring lawns. Pretty big, she always thought of herself as a lap dog and insisted on proving it. Her wet cold nose would always find a vulnerable patch of exposed skin to draw attention to her. It's nice to stop and remember something (someone?) that significant that was part of your life for only a fleeting moment.
I used to practice my chipping from a patch of lawn, over the small fence, and into the pool, and she'd go diving after the golf balls...automatic ball return. She loved the water, no matter how cold. Searching for pine cones in snow banks was her specialty, though...she'd get in so far that all you could see was the tip of her tail wagging wildly of course. And then she'd emerge, covered in snow, frozen pine cone in her mouth.
RIP in dogland.
