In light of the fabulous Partagas Lusitania I smoked yesterday something stuck in my memory.
The number two cigar of 2006 was the Coronado double corona by La Flor Dominicana.
In the tastings it is said it reminds some of a great Partagas Lusitania. Now I love the Coronado. Its a great big rich bold smoke as is the Lusi. Now in my opinion the Lusi blows it away ten fold.
Which would you rather have after a tremendous meal, the Lusi or the Coronado ?
I say Lusi by a ton.

I love Coronado's and I agree with your rich & bold description...but I have never smoked a Lusitania.

Sorry littoines.

I would take the Lusi. I have never tried it, but I was not impressed with the Coronados I had last summer. I may not have let them settle long enough after shipping though. I have one left that his been resting for 8 months and I plan to revisit this summer.

After smoking the LFD Coronado double corona earlier, I would pick the Partagas Lusi anytime.

hey I am on the other side here, I have smoked Lusi's but not the coronado, however I have two that are resting in the humi. I will give them another week, as I just got them. And then Chime in.

The Lusi's are 01 vintage, and very smooth, so it will be a tough challenge.

can't comment on current vintage Lusis.
