Finally received a Cordoba 200ct Humi. I've put a little glass of distilled in it to get it seasoned, hope it doesn't take too long. The Cordoba looks good but not as nice as the Savoy but not nearly the cost either and it's bigger.

I'm running a calibration salt test on 3 analog hygrometers right now also. It's been a couple hours and all three are at different readings( all way above 75%. I've also put a digital in the bag to see what it does, hope I don't screw it up. For the guys that have a Cordoba how long did it take to season yours? I've got some Gurka's and Panza's in a humi bag but would like to get them in the humi soon.

I have a 100 ct humi and it took about 3 or 4 days. It will probably take a few more with yours. Whatever you do,

TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!

Its worth it down the road.

I salt test all my digitals just to make sure that they are right on.
I have never had a problem with salt testing digitals.

Take your time, the humi bags will last for a while so dont be
in a hurry, remember, your putting expensive cigars in this humidor
its worth the wait.

good luck.

Don't spill any salt on the rich Corinthian leather of your Chrysler Cordoba (not sure how many of you remember that car, advertised with Ricardo Montalban...by now his skin probably looks like rich, corinthian leather).

Enjoy your humidor.

Yes, I remember Richard and the Cordoba and I bet Saul does to as we are AARP qualified, but not to the extent of belonging to that club.

Salt Tests, I goning to do some searching on that tonight. I've had 3 analogs and 1 digi in the bag all night and here's what I came up with

Analog #1 82%
Analog #2 72%
Analog #3 90%the one that came with the Cordoba
Digi 66%

I've got two other digi's in there now to see what they come up with and if they match the 1st tested digi. I thought I read somewhere that after several hours the RH should be 75% and I figured the analogs would be off but the digi? now I don't know what to trust. I'm off to search some info out.

Yeah, I remember the Cordova. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the title of this thread. Vaguely remember Ricardo.

BTW, I had gray hairs the past few days, but now they're gone. Does that mean I'm getting younger?

Nope....that's phase two: they fell out!
Big Grin

Hey, no problem getting older, it sure beats the alternative!

I'm older than dirt myself (AARP member many years ago - even though I dropped my membership because I refuse to fund their political agenda).
....besides, when you become a dirty old man you can get away with things you could never do when you were young.... Women EXPECT you to leer at them....and I would never disappoint a lady.

Bgoodz: If the Cordoba is the one from Tampa Humidor with the double-diamond inlay....I've had one for almost two years; seals well and works perfectly (though I replaced the humidifying unit with a Credo).....if I remember correctly, it only took about three days for it to stabilize, but that was in Florida (land of humidity)....Northern Cali will most likely take longer .......nice humi.
Cool
